Јас сум лозата, а вие прачките; и кој е во Мене, и Јас во него, тој ќе даде многу плод; оти без мене не можете да правите ништо. Како што ме возљуби Отецот, и Јас ве возљубив вас. Бидете во Мојата љубов! Ако ги запазите Моите заповеди, ше останете во љубовта Моја. како што Јас ги запазив заповедите на Мојот Отец и останувам во љубовта Негова. Ова ви го реков, за да остане радоста Моја во вас, и радоста ваша да биде полна. Ова е Моја заповед, да се љубите еден со друг, како што ве возљубив Јас. Никој нема поголема љубов од оваа: даја положи душата своја за своие пријатели.
Денес го славиме споменот на големиот чудотворец на светата Православна Црква, светиот Николај Архиепископ Мир Ликијски. Свети Николај е еден од најголемите светители и најголемите луѓе родени во историјата на човештвото.
Кога зборуваме за светиот отец наш Николај, треба да си поставиме и неколку прашања поврзани со неговиот живот, користни за нас. Како тој го достигнал тоа достоинство и дали само нему или на сите ни е зададено и овозможено тоа? И зошто не сите ја достигнуваат состојбата на светост?
Главниот одговорот е во изборот на начинот на живеење.
Блаженствата што ние денес ги прочитавме во Евангелието, кое што се чита за преподобни, ја покажуваат патеката од образот до подобието Божјо: “Блажени сте вие, сиромашните, зашто ваше е Царството Божјо!
Блажени сте вие што сега гладувате, оти ќе се наситите!
Блажени сте вие, кои сега плачете, оти ќе се насмеете!
Блажени ќе бидете, кога ќе ве намразат луѓето, и ќе ве одделат и похулат, и го исфрлат името ваше како лошо, заради Синот Човечки!
Зарадувајте се во оној ден и развеселете се, оти голема е наградата ваша на небесата. Зашто така постапуваа со пророците и нивните татковци!‘“ (Лука 6, 17–23).
Бог ни покажал како треба, и ни ветил што добиваме за возврат, изборот е на нас. Свети Николај го избрал тој пат и стигнал до зададената цел, а Бог си го исполнил ветувањето.
И ете, стана еден законик и, искушувајќи Го, рече: „Учителе, што треба да направам за да наследам живот вечен?” А Тој му рече: „Што е напишано во Законот? Што читаш таму?” Тој одговори и рече: „Возљуби Го Господ, твојот Бог, со сето свое срце, со сета своја душа, со сета своја сила и со сиот свој разум; и својот ближен како себе си!” Му кажа пак: „Добро одговори; тоа прави го и ќе живееш.” Но тој, сакајќи да се оправда, Му рече на Исус: „А кој е мој ближен?” Исус му одговори и рече: „Еден човек, додека слегуваше од Ерусалим во Ерихон, западна меѓу разбојници. Тие го соблекоа и го претепаа, и си отидоа, оставајќи го полумртов. Случајно во тоа време слегуваше по тој пат еден свештеник и, кога го виде, помина на спротивната страна. Исто така и еден левит, кога дојде на тоа место, погледна и премина на другата страна. Еден, пак, Самарјанин, кој патуваше, кога дојде до него, го виде и се сожали. И кога се приближи, му ги преврза раните, полевајќи ги со масло и со вино. Потоа го качи на добитокот свој, го однесе во гостилница и се погрижи за него. А утредента, на кинисување, извади два денарија, му ги даде на гостилничарот и му рече: ,Погрижи се за него; а ако потрошиш нешто повеќе, кога ќе се вратам, ќе ти платам.‘ Кој, пак, од тие тројца ти се чини дека му беше ближен на оној, што падна во рацете на разбојниците?” А тој одговори: „Оној што му искажа милосрдие.” Исус му рече: „Оди и ти прави така!”( Лк. 10:25/37)
Eте, стана еден законик и, искушувајќи Го, рече: „Учителе, што треба да направам за да наследам живот вечен?”
Закониците биле луѓе што го проучувале Светото Писмо и ги знаеле законите и самите се правеле водачи на еврејскиот народ. Кога дошол Христос, тие дошле до судир на нивното разбирање на Писмото со она што Христос Го проповедал. Овој законик, заради тоа, од една страна бил збунет, но од друга страна, заради својата суетност и гордост, сакал да го искуша Христа, па затоа му поставува „збунувачко“ прашање. (more…)
Children, you have heard today’s gospel reading (Luke 10: 25-37).
We are all guests in this world, some people more – some people less, are wounded by demons – thieves, and placed by the Merciful Samaritan – Christ, for treatment in the inn – the Church. The innkeeper is the Episcope.
The Merciful Samaritan – Christ leaves everything that the innkeeper needs in order to take care and heal all those whose hearts and souls, even bodies, are wounded by the demonic attack.
The God-Man Christ left to the clergy a personal example, and such inexhaustible grace that the wounded guest could never spend more than that. The promise of a surcharge applies only to dispirited innkeepers. Therefore, the innkeeper can only conscientiously and humbly perform the work for which he has been paid in advance.
If he finishes the work as a child of God – and not as a hired worker – spending himself even “more than what has been paid to him”, blessed is such an innkeeper who will make God his “debtor”. God will make him His son by grace, and any other surcharge is no longer important at all …
Деца, го чувте денешното евангелско четиво (Лука 10, 25–37).
Сите ние сме гости на овој свет, кои повеќе – кои помалку, повредени од демоните – разбојниците, сместени од милостивиот Самарјанин – Христос, на лекување во гостилницата – Црквата. Гостилничар е Епископот. Милостивиот Самарјанин – Христос му остава сè што му е потребно на гостилничарот за да ги догледа и излекува сите оние чии срца и души, па и тела, се повредени од демонскиот напад.
Богочовекот Христос му остави на свештенството и личен пример, и толку неисцрпна благодат што повредениот гостин никогаш не може да потроши повеќе од тоа. Ветувањето за доплата се однесува само за малодушните гостилничари. Затоа, на гостилничарот му останува само совесно и смирено да ја изврши работата за којашто му е однапред преплатено.
А ако ја заврши работата како дете Божјо – а не како наемник – трошејќи се себеси и „повеќе од она што му е платено“, блазе си му на таквиот гостилничар кој Бог ќе Го направи свој „должник“. Него Бог ќе го направи син Свој по благодат, а каква било друга доплата веќе не е воопшто важна…
He was known as the First-Called Apostle, because he was the first who followed Christ. From an early age, he longed for the divine truth, and that is why when Saint John the Baptist emerged, he immediately became one of his disciples. Saint Andrew was standing on the banks of the Jordan River, when the Forerunner, pointing to Jesus, said: “Behold the Lamb of God!” (John 1, 36). Hearing these words, Andrew wanted to meet Him and spent the whole day with Him. He wanted to share the indescribable joy and the impression he gained from Christ with someone, so he went to his brother Simon (Peter), announcing to him the good news: “We have found the Messiah” (John 1, 41), and brought him to Christ. Later the Saviour saw the brothers on the shores of the Sea of Galilee and called them. “Follow me and I will make you fishers of men!” (Mark 1, 17). Since then, they followed the Saviour everywhere and witnessed His miracles, death and resurrection.
Andrew was a shrewd man, with pure logical thought, balanced, determined and an excellent organizer. That is why during his life he travelled to many countries and everywhere he went he founded local churches. After the Ascension of the Lord, and, the descent of the Holy Spirit, when the Apostles went to different countries to preach the Word of God, the Holy Apostle Andrew went to the northern countries. Through Macedonia, Greece, Asia Minor, along the shores of the Black Sea, he reached the land inhabited by the Scythians, today’s Russia.
According to tradition, when the Holy Apostle reached the Dnieper River, at the place where the city of Kiev is now, while climbing the surrounding hill, he hammered a cross into the ground and said to his disciples: “In this place the grace of God will shine, the churches of Christ will be raised and the true light will come, from here throughout the land.” On that very same hill now stands the church of Saint Andrew the First-Called. He even reached the cities of Heraclius, Chalcedon, and Treisund; he also visited Armenia and Georgia. He also came to the mountains of Ossetia and Abkhazia, preached in Sebastia (present-day Sukhumi), journeyed along the shores of the Black Sea and visited Kherson Taurida (now the Crimean peninsula). After this hard journey, the Holy Apostle Andrew visited Sinop and the cities that lie near the Black Sea. He also visited the city of Byzantium (today’s Constantinople) and there he ordained Stachys as the first bishop, one of the 70 Disciples of Christ. Visiting the cities of Greece, he came to the city of Patras in his old age.
The Holy Apostle Andrew spent some time together with Saint John the Theologian, who was the Apostle in Ephesus, from where he went to Nicaea and stayed there for two years. But his path was not always easy. He also suffered great trials, torments and persecutions. He endured all of them patiently and he testified about Christ everywhere he went; through his word, miracles and the example of his personal life and won new followers. In the Pontus city of Sinop, near the Black Sea, Saint Andrew together with the Holy Apostle Matthew suffered terrible persecution from the Jews. Being filled with malice, because the Disciples of Christ had gained many followers, they slandered them before the authorities. Because of that, they imprisoned them, beat them and threw them out of the city gates. But Christ appeared to them and healed them. Saint Andrew, as if nothing had happened to him, returned to the city and continued to preach again.
After returning to Patras, the city leader Aegeates learned that foreign teachings had spread throughout the city, and even unto his family, so he subjected Saint Andrew to interrogations, torture, dungeons and finally condemned him to death. Later, when all the people revolted en masse, Aegeates was afraid and at his order the servants began to untie the Apostle from the cross. Then Saint Andrew, raising his eyes to heaven, cried out: “O Lord, do not allow, for me to be taken down from the cross and do not deprive me of a death similar to Yours! Receive me in peace in your eternal settlements!” After saying this words, the Apostle surrendered his spirit to God and his face shone in the light of the heaven. Andrew was crucified on a cross in the form of an X.
The Apostle dedicated his whole life to preaching. Wherever he passed, he preached and organised a local church community. He was a tireless worker in the field of God, he preached, healed the sick, cast out unclean spirits, taught the new converts to be merciful to foreigners and their slaves and to have love for everyone. The meekness and benevolent life of the Holy Apostle rose like a bright pillar to the sky and radiated light and warmth, with which he attracted the people, who whilst listening to him, addressed him: “You are truly a disciple and friend of the good and merciful God and He speaks through your mouth!” The Holy Apostle Andrew, the First-Called Apostle is celebrated on November 30th according to the Julian calendar (13 December according to the Gregorian calendar).
