A LESSON ABOUT THE CRY BY VENERABLE PIMEN THE GREAT
A brother, asked Abba Pimen about the monastic activities. The Elder said: “When God will visit us with the call for eternity, what will we be concerned about?” The brother answered: about our sins. The Elder said: “Correct! Therefore, let us go into our cells; when we are alone in them, let us remember our sins, and the Lord will hear us.” This does not mean a shallow, indifferent remembrance of our sins and of our sinfulness, but a remembrance united with repentance and cry.
When Abba Arsenius reposed, Saint Pimen, on the news of the death of this great man, wept and said: “Blessed are you, Abba Arsenius, because you cried for yourself all your life. He who does not weep here will weep forever. Crying is inevitable: either here – voluntarily, or involuntarily there – in eternal torment. ”

УЧЕЊЕ ЗА ПЛАЧОТ ОД ПРЕПОДОБЕН ПИМЕН ВЕЛИКИ
Го прашал еден брат авва Пимен за монашкото делување. Старецот рекол: “Кога Бог ќе нè посети со повик кон вечноста, за што ќе се грижиме?” Братот одговорил: за нашите гревови. Старецот рекол:”Точно! Според тоа, да влеземе во нашите ќелии; осамувајќи се во нив, да си спомнеме за нашите гревови, и Господ ќе нè слушне.” Овде не се мисли на површно, рамнодушно сеќавање на гревовите и нашата гревовност, туку за сеќавање соединето со покајание и плач.
Кога се упокоил авва Арсениј, Свети Пимен, на веста за смртта на великиот, заплакал и рекол:”Блажен си ти, авва Арсениј, зашто ти цел живот плачеше за себе. Оној што не плаче овде, ќе плаче вечно. Плачењето е неизбежно: или овде – доброволно, или неволно таму – во вечни маки.”
